Set up in four steps

1. Install Bidsify and open it from Apps in Shopify admin.
2. In your theme editor, add the Auction bid box block to a product template (the setup guide on the Bidsify home page links straight to it). Add the Auctions list section to a page if you want one place for all auctions.
3. In Bidsify → Settings, choose how winners pay: on the product page, by emailed invoice, or both.
4. Open a product in Shopify admin, choose More actions → Create auction, set the dates and starting bid, and schedule it.

Common questions

Do bidders need an account?

Yes. Bidders sign in with your store's Shopify customer account. Before their first bid they add a public alias, phone number and shipping address. Bid history shows only aliases.

How does the winner pay?

Through your normal Shopify checkout, so every payment method you already accept works. Depending on your setting, the winner pays on the product page, from an invoice Shopify emails them, or either. They have a payment window (48 hours by default) with reminders. If they don't pay, you can offer the item to the runner-up or relist it.

Can someone buy the product at its list price during an auction?

No. While an auction is scheduled or live, checkout blocks the product at its list price.

What is soft close?

A bid in the last 2 minutes adds 2 more minutes, so nobody wins by bidding in the final second. You can change both times.

What happens to a sealed bid?

Nobody sees sealed amounts until the auction closes, including you. Bidders can raise their bid but not lower or withdraw it. The highest bid wins, and a tie goes to the earlier bid.

What counts toward my plan's auction limit?

Scheduled and live auctions. Ended auctions and drafts don't count. Free includes 10, Plus 50 and Enterprise unlimited.

What happens if I uninstall?

Running auctions are cancelled and no more emails go to bidders. Your data is deleted 48 hours later, as described in the privacy policy.
